How It Works

From one product to a repeatable supply chain

The first step is free and takes you two minutes. Everything after it is a defined engagement with clear deliverables, so you always know what you are paying for and what you are getting.

01

Send us a product

Upload photos, a drawing or a specification — of a product you already buy, or one you want to develop — plus roughly how many you buy. That is enough for us to start. Nothing needs to be shipped to us: we work from product information, not from a physical sample.

Free · 2 minutes
02

Initial sourcing feasibility check

We assess whether the product is a realistic candidate for China sourcing at your volume. You receive a clear, written first opinion: likely to make commercial sense, probably not economical at your quantity, or potentially affected by compliance or tariff issues.

03

Sourcing project

If the product is worth pursuing, we scope a sourcing engagement: supplier search and qualification, structured RFQ, like-for-like quote comparison covering price, MOQ, lead time and terms, negotiation, and a landed-cost view that includes freight, duties and handling.

Paid engagement · fee structure disclosed in writing first
04

Sample & supplier selection

Samples are ordered and reviewed against your specification before any production order is placed. We present the options side by side with the trade-offs stated, so the selection is yours — made with better information.

05

Order, QC & shipping coordination

Purchase order support, pre-shipment inspection coordination against your specification, documentation, and shipping coordination through to departure from China — with your freight forwarder or ours.

06

Repeat procurement

Once a supplier and specification are proven, reorders, replenishment and new items run through the same relationship. This is the point of the service: not a one-off search, but a standing procurement desk on the China side.

The goal
What Is Free, What Is Not

The boundary, stated plainly

Here is exactly what the free assessment covers — and what it does not.

Free The feasibility check includes

  • Initial sourcing feasibility assessment
  • Whether China sourcing is likely to make commercial sense at your volume
  • Initial indication of MOQ, logistics, tariff or compliance concerns
  • A written recommendation on whether to proceed

Not included The feasibility check does not include

  • Supplier names or contact details
  • Supplier shortlist
  • Formal RFQ
  • Supplier quotations
  • Detailed landed-cost calculation
  • Negotiation with suppliers
Free assessment does not include supplier names, supplier contact details, formal quotations or detailed sourcing research.
Common Questions

Before you send us anything

How long does the free check take?

We respond within 2 business days with a written preliminary assessment.

What if I do not have specifications?

A photo and an approximate quantity are enough for the first assessment. Specifications come later if the product is worth pursuing.

How do your fees work?

Our fee structure depends on the scope of the engagement and is disclosed in writing before any work begins. You always know the cost and the deliverables before you commit.

What about MOQ?

MOQ is one of the first things we flag. If your volume cannot support a realistic MOQ, we will tell you that in the free assessment rather than after you have paid for sourcing work.

Do you handle shipping and customs?

We coordinate shipping out of China and documentation. Customs clearance and duties into Canada are handled with your broker — we make sure you see the landed-cost impact before you commit.

Do I need to speak Chinese?

No. We operate in French, English and Chinese, so nothing is lost between your team, us and the factories.

Start with one product

Sending a product costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. It tells you whether China sourcing is worth exploring at all.

After You Commit

What happens once you say go

Once a scope is agreed, execution follows a fixed sequence. Each stage has one owner, so nothing sits in the gap between them.

WHALE

Supplier confirmed

Qualified supplier, agreed specification, MOQ, price and payment terms documented in writing.

WHALE

Order placed

Purchase order issued, deposit released, production slot booked with the factory.

Supplier

Production

Manufacturing against the approved specification and approved sample.

WHALE

Inspection

Pre-shipment check against specification, before any balance payment is released.

Forwarder

Export & freight

Documentation, consolidation and departure from China, by the agreed mode.

You

Customs & delivery

Clearance, duty and final delivery to your location, with documents handed over.

Sequence is indicative. Duration depends on the product, the factory and the shipping mode — which is why we quote a lead-time range rather than a single date.

Send us one product. Get a straight answer.

Photos, a drawing or a specification are enough — nothing needs to be shipped. Free initial assessment, and if China sourcing is not the right route for your product, we will tell you that too.
