Where we work best

We work across a wide range of commercially viable products, but we lead with the categories where Québec buyers most often need a China-side procurement function: construction and property supply, retail and private label, and custom manufactured goods.

Construction, Renovation & Property Supply

For contractors, renovation companies, property managers, building supply businesses, cabinet and millwork companies, and distributors.

Typical categories

  • Cabinet hardware and fittings
  • Interior hardware and accessories
  • Bathroom accessories and fixtures
  • Storage and organization systems
  • Property maintenance supplies
  • Commercial fit-out products
  • Branded and private-label finished goods
  • Signage, fixtures and trim accessories

Where we advise caution

Structural steel, electrical cable, load-bearing structures and other high-compliance categories. These carry certification and liability requirements that usually make China sourcing a poor first fit.

If you need those, we will tell you early.

Most of this demand is not "building materials" — it is fit-out, finish and maintenance supply: the high-volume, high-fragmentation items that are expensive to buy locally and easy to consolidate in China.

Retail & Private Label

For retailers, e-commerce sellers, distributors and brand owners building or extending a product line.

Home products

Homeware, decor, organization and household goods.

Pet accessories

Pet supplies and accessories, a category where China is the primary global supply base.

Kitchen & organization

Kitchen tools, storage and small household solutions.

Seasonal products

Seasonal and holiday lines, where lead times and MOQ discipline matter most.

Packaging

Retail packaging, gift packaging and custom printed formats.

Private label

Products manufactured and branded under your own label, from artwork to packaging.

Private label is where most of the value is — and where most first-time importers lose money. Artwork, tooling, packaging and MOQ decisions are made before production, and they are expensive to reverse.

Custom Products

If you can describe it — with photos, a drawing or a specification — we can evaluate whether it can be sourced competitively from China. That includes an existing product with light customisation, and your own branding or logo.

What we need to assess it

  • Close-up photographs from several angles, or a drawing if one exists
  • Material, dimensions or performance notes
  • Any branding requirement — your logo, artwork or packaging specification
  • Approximate annual or per-order quantity
  • Any certification or standard it must meet

What we tell you

  • Whether it is a realistic sourcing candidate
  • Whether your volume makes tooling and MOQ viable
  • Whether compliance or tariffs change the math
  • Whether it is worth a full sourcing study

Pet Supplies & Accessories

For independent pet stores, groomers, breeders and online shops that compete with the chains on assortment rather than on price.

Leashes, harnesses & collars

Leather, webbing, rope and metal. The most profitable line for an independent retailer: light, low-volume, visually differentiated and a high unit price.

Toys & enrichment

Chew toys, balls, snuffle mats, food puzzles. Fast rotation, so the retailer reorders often.

Bowls & non-electric feeders

Raised bowls, slow feeders, gravity dispensers. Note: electric versions are not handled (see below).

Beds & cat trees

Cushions, baskets, knock-down cat trees. Assessed case by case: these are bulky items and freight can absorb the margin.

Carriers & travel gear

Backpack carriers, car seats, slings. A light item that sells to customers who travel with their animal.

Non-food hygiene

Litter and accessories, brushes, non-medicated grooming items. No formulated or ingestible products are handled.

What we do not take in this category

The trap in this category is not compliance, it is volume. A cushion or a cat tree can cost $4 to make and $18 to ship. Groupage sea freight is charged on volume, not weight. We will tell you plainly whether your assortment is built to be profitable on arrival, or only at the point of purchase.
